Board Meeting-Norwalk Village Board –Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Attendance-board members:, MW, AK, KH,CM,DD, KV, TK

Others in attendance: R Galovits,L Tirado,B & M Johnson, L Bender, G Decker, D Martenson, N Kotten, K Franke,K Parker,C DeWitt,C Cunitz,,J Likely, T Welch, L Helgren, C Scholze, C Filter, E Olsen, J Jokiel, N&J Genske, M Rasmussen, MK,   H Vian, D Jones.

Board Meeting was called to order by Pres MW at 7:00pm.

Meeting was properly noticed and agenda posted.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Public comments: M Rasmussen presented  a hook a tote invention for keeping recycle buckets in yards. [email protected]

Dana M requested tree limbs in her alley be trimmed.

Motionby Marti second by Karis to approve January 8, 2018 Board meeting minutes MC

Director of Wilton Ambulance Service, J Likely and Wilton Board President, T Welch appeared before board to state case for payment of ambulance and annual fees but Norwalk Board felt if we aren’t using the ambulance once we switch to Sparta we shouldn’t be expected to pay for the equipment in Wilton. Mike, Tim, Jeremy and clerks may meet to discuss further.

Officer Jones was named both weed control and lawn maintenance commissioners.

Raquel Galovits appeared before the board to eliminate the confusion by a facebook posting accusing her  of possibly contaminating Norwalk’s water supply. She proceeded to lay out all the facts of animals that have been in her possession in the last 2 years and that her composting has been both DNR and Monroe County approved.

DPW Vian reported the pilot test for adding ferric has been completed with very good results.  The next step is to line up Water shed projects.

Vian reported Vian and Genske will attend training on March 2ndin Tomah

Well #1 is complete and cleared to be back in service.

2 lawn mowers that have not been in service for over 6 years to be advertised for purchase by sealed bid.

Motion by Kotten second by Karis to set a limit of $5000 per unit to purchase a leaf vac and a chipper.MC KH opposed.

Hilliard reported the library board held its meeting in the new part of the library with heating lighting and electrical to all be finished up soon. project progressing nicely.

Committee recommends to either paint over or remove graffiti on Railroad St. bridge.

Maintenance to get bids for removal of tree at 301 W North St.

Motion by Karis second by Kotten to pay bills.  MC

Motion by Hilliard second by Marti to approve operators license for Tessa Struecker .MC

Motion by Kotten second by Karis to adjourn. MC
