Board Meeting-Norwalk Village Board –Tuesday, March 13, 2018

Attendance-board members:, MW, AK, KH ,DD, KV, TK

Others in attendance:,L Tirado,B & M Johnson, D Gnewikow,R Galovits, G Decker, D Martenson, A Neumann, L Helgren, S Flock, M Kessel, K Parker, H Vian, D Jones.

Board Meeting was called to order by Pres MW at 7:00pm.

Meeting was properly noticed and agenda posted.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Public comments: clerk read invite from Sparta American Legion to meet the candidates night.AK invited board and staff to Fireman’s Appreciation Dinner March 24, 6 social hour 7:00 meal

Motionby Karis second by Hilliard to approve February 13, 2018 Board meeting minutes MC

Vian reported J Genske will attend water schooling in both March and April with testing in May

Motion by Wield second by Karis to give a $390.70 sewer credit for Lesa T’s café upcoming water/sewer bill as water faucet was turned on and left running. MC.

A sign is to be ordered for the gate at sewer plant- ‘authorized personnel only’ or something similar.           

MW and HV met with Cedar engineering and Bob McKeel from Monroe County to locate possible sites for non point adaptive management trading. Need to remove 79 lbs. of phosphorous to meet DNR levels

Motionby Karis second by Vian to spend up to $50,000 on non point adaptive management trading start up. Funds will need to be borrowed. MC

Motionby Karis second by Vian to accept bid for lawn mowers $300 and $50 respectively. MC

D Gnewikow reported library addition is about 1/3 complete with building funds starting to be depleted.

Motion by Hilliard second by Karis to award R Degenhardt with the low bid of $100 to remove tree at 301 W North St. MC

Maintenance to find some bidders for sidewalk replacement.

Motion by Karis second by Dinger to pay for ¼(?)page ad in Visitor  for $335 MC.

Motion by Karis second by Kotten to pay bills.  MC

Clerk reported due to vacations the next board meetings will be April 17 and May 15

Tom Kotten  (8 years) and Chad Marti(4 years) were thanked for their dedicated service to the Norwalk Village residents

Next board meeting on Tuesday, April 17 with organizational meeting at 6:45 (with new board members)

Motion by Kotten second by Karis to adjourn. MC
